Senior-level executives from Alcoa, Noranda, Rio Tinto Alcan and the Aluminum Association will talk about trends in the aluminum industry during the Aluminum Associations annual spring meeting. Following brief opening remarks, the executives will be available for a Q&A session. North American demand and consumption of aluminum are trending back to pre-recession levels, growing nearly 30 percent since reaching lows in 2009. Last year, North American demand grew 5.3 percent and consumption grew 6.6 percent. Increased housing starts and auto builds are positive signs for the industry as a whole.
